Grassroots Day of ServiceMulching rows of fruits & veggies at a community garden as a way of giving back to the community of Lane County.
Holiday SwapAs a way of ending the term, Rising hosted a holiday “everything” swap where students donated & exchanged items ranging from clothes, shoes, & decorations. Our clubs projects were showcased through a zine & printed resources were displayed.
Grateful & Green In honor of Thanksgiving, we collected food donations for Lane for Food County. We also had a Giving Tree, where students & passerby’s could write what they were grateful for.
Uo Fashion x RisingThe fashion club directors guest spoke educating the impacts of fast fashion. As an awareness activity, we held a timed fashion contest in making outfits & accessories from recyclable materials.
The Rising Games 2025Our biggest and recurring event, The Rising Games, hosted on Earth Day, is a chance for students to have fun while being educated on climate change and sustainability. This event hosts several other UO clubs and activities or games that educate students.
